RentACoder : The Safer Way To Outsource

RentACoder is a global software and development marketplace. It brings programmers and buyers together in a safe and encouraging environment. While the Internet is viewed as offering the greatest potential for both sides of the transaction, it is fraught with dangers. Freelance coders often find themselves committing to projects and not being paid the final fee, while buyers may be faced with unresponsive buyers that disappear once an initial deposit has been paid.

Financial protection is offered through a secure Escrow payment system. Once a coder is selected for a project, the associated funds are then placed in the RentACoder Escrow account. Only upon satisfactory completion of the project is this fee released to the coder. If they don’t complete the work, or submit substandard work, then they don’t get paid; the buyer receives the project fee back from the Escrow account.

One of the biggest potential hazards of hiring a freelance programmer is a lack of communications. Some of the most gifted programmers in the world fail to regularly communicate or provide adequate project updates. For projects worth $150 or more, service providers are required to post a weekly status report every Friday. The project board is also used as a communication board so that if a dispute arises, the lack of communication can be cited as a major reason for the problem.

When required, the RentACoder team will intervene. They will assess the evidence to hand and form a decision using this information. Typically, this means checking for any communication, ensuring that status reports were filed, and determining whether the project was completed or not.

The secure environment offered by RentACoder enables programmers to get on with what they do best and also enables buyers to hire skilled programmers without fear of losing their project fee.
